Our Excursion VII includes a visit Grote di Frasassi. It’s an underground grotto the size of a city block. It has been about 1.4 million years in the making and it offers some of the most extraordinary structures (stalagmites) that were created drop by drop of water through the sulfuric-laden crevices of the Sentino River.
Oh, by the way, after the tour of the grotto we go to a spa for a massage and Prosecco Aperitivo!
