The idea of a Themed Excursion was developed to help inform and inspire our clients to select areas of interest in the Le Marche (pronounced lay markey) Region of Italy. Since it is a much lesser-known area than the main tourist sites in Italy, we wanted to highlight some of its many wonders to better inform our clients of what is available.
We also wanted to address the details of ground transportation, official Italian Tour Guide, as well as food and lodging.
The “Theme” is in the title of each Excursion. It can be Historical, Cultural, Culinary or Nature. The excursions are a combination of two or more of those subjects and some have their own unique “Themes.”
With each Excursion we have the day planned based on an informal schedule. A brochure for each Excursion covers the activities with photos of the venue. If everything you want is covered in any Excursion, we will follow the script of that excursion. If you have any other interests that you would like to address, just let us know.
Following is one example:
Our Excursion I, Historical and Culinary, covers a visit to a 14th century fortress and the adjacent medieval village. If you have any particular interests, let’s say architecture or religious history, just let us know and we’ll focus on those areas.
The second part of that tour is to a small family winery. If that’s not what you want to do that day, no problem. We can go to an olive oil processing farm or on a bicycle tour or you can just hang out for the rest of the day.
We only accept reservations for small groups of 1-8 people. That allows us to give you suggestions and then tailor them to your personal preferences.
