Stop 1Your hotel, Residenze Gregoriane

We’ll pick you up at the Rome airport or the city center and bring you to this lovely 16th century structure located in the heart of Tivoli. Relax in the courtyard amongst the statues and frescoes or visit the spa.

Stop 2 Villa d’Este

Only a short walk from the hotel, we’ll enter what is considered the epitome of a Renaissance villa covering over 10 acres. The frescoes, the fountains, the statues and views seem to go on endlessly. Our tour guide will give you the interesting history of Cardinal d’Este and how he came to be the papal governor of Tivoli. After the tour we can stop for an aperitivo in the town center or go back to the hotel for a rest.

Stop 3 Ristorante Sibilla

his elegant restaurant, also a short walk from the hotel, is at the edge of a gorge overlooking the Aniene river and is adjacent to the Temple of Sibyl with views below. And you’ll enjoy a delightful dinner!

If you will be spending more time with us, we will arrange for transport the next morning to our home base in San Benedetto del Tronto or wherever you may need to go.

Note 2

There’s still a lot to see in Tivoli such as Hadrian’s Villa and Parco Villa Gregoriana. If you’d like to visit those sites, we can add them to a second day’s activity.
