Tour of 14th Century Fortress in Medieval town of Acquaviva Picena
Wine Tasting at Roberto Capecci Vineyards
Dinner at a seaside Chalet, San Benedetto del Tronto

Departure is at approximately 10:00AM (or whatever time you wish) from your hotel. A brief 15- minute drive will take us from the seaside into the scenic hills with views of the Adriatic Sea, olive groves and vineyards to our destination, the medieval town of Acquaviva Picena and its 14th Century Fortress.

The fortress is a massive structure on the hilltop whose lookout offers views to the Adriatic Sea on one side and to the Sibillini mountains on the other. Our guide will go over key aspects of the local history, culture, and influences of this period.

Exiting the fortress, we take a stroll through the narrow streets of Acquaviva Picena. The streets, where cars are not allowed, offer a historic atmosphere that can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace in solitude. Within this small town are two churches that illustrate the preeminence of religion.

Now it’s time to exit the walls of the old city and take a break for a cappuccino on the terrace of a local coffee shop.

The next stop is a short drive to the Roberto Cappeci Vineyards. In this wine tour you’ll learn about the family-owned winery and how they are combining traditional artisanal skills to produce even better and more natural wines. Learn about the entire process from the vineyards to the aging barrels and some interesting details from Roberto himself.

Of course, there will be wine tasting that will be accompanied by some classic Italian delicacies. We’ll go over what types of food will be served beforehand to accommodate personal preferences and any food restrictions.

This will take place under the covered patio overlooking the vineyard.

From the winery you’ll be taken back to the hotel for a chance to rest and relax.

A gourmet dinner will be planned at a seaside chalet to top off the day.
